This type of stroke is caused by a ruptured blood vessel that causes bleeding in the brain.

EMBOLIC STROKE


This type of stroke occures when a blood clot forms in the body and moves to the brain, this causes starvation to the brain.

ISCHEMIC STROKE


This type of stroke is caused by Blood clots stopping the circulation of the blood to parts of the brain.

THROMBOLIC STROKE


This type of stroke is caused by a clot in an artery that supplies blood to you brain and is known as "Thrombosis". 

Thrombosis can be a large vessel or a small vessel depending on the size of the artery effected.

APHASIA


This is a condition of a stroke which has caused the person concerned to loose all their speech.

This means the person concerned can hear and understand people talking to them but can not formulate a reply.
